 |  Committees - As a congregational church, under the leadership of the pastors and deacons, we have several committees, or elected small groups, that discuss various matters and bring them to the church business meetings. These committees typically include a Nominating Committee, a Stewardship Committee, a Youth Committee, a Building and Grounds Committee, and other committees as needed. For example, the Stewardship Committee, along with the Treasurer, brings regular reports to the monthly business meetings. We have an open book policy with regard to finances. Anyone can see where the offerings are going by reading the stewardship report. All committees are supportive to the church and any final actions must have approval of the church and the Pastor. Members having served in the church for some time and elected by the church may serve on committees. The committees bring recommendations or motions to the regular monthly business meetings. These committees carry out important work in fulfilling the mission of the church and in cooperation with the church as a whole. |
